Purpose

I.A.M.U is dedicated to empowering youth and young adults aged 8-24, both males-and females, who have been affected by gangs, drugs, the judicial system, catastrophic life events, prostitution, abuse, sex trafficking, and educational setbacks. Our mission is to build a community where individuals see a positive reflection of themselves through dedication, community, hard work, and commitment. We aim to provide mentorship, focus groups, housing support, job readiness, life coaching, counseling, educational resources, emergency housing funding, youth activity funding, legal assistance/court liaison and programs to remove guns from the streets and schools.

Our vision is to create a thriving community where youth and young adults have the resources, support, and opportunities to break free from cycles of violence, poverty, and systemic barriers. We envision a future where our participants are empowered to lead fulfilling lives, contribute positively to society, and inspire future generations to do the same. I.A.M.U aims to be a beacon of hope and transformation, demonstrating the power of unity and dedicated effort in building a brighter, more inclusive world.

I.A.M.U is committed to:

* Providing unwavering support to our participants through tailored programs and services.

* Building partnerships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to expand our reach and impact.

* Continuously improving our programs to meet the evolving needs of our community.

* Advocating for systemic changes that address the root causes of the challenges our participants face.

* Creating a safe and nurturing environment where every individual feels valued and respected.
